Episode 103 Review (The Race is On! Trouble On the High Seas!)So our race actually gets pretty interesting. First, the old guys from the Chunin exam who had been in the clone episode, they come back. And they’re still boring, but it doesn’t matter. After a little mixup with a strange jutsu, the race keeps going, and the race guy is still kind of a dick. They’re taking the long way because the wind would have slowed them down, and going this way makes them get their quicker because of it. Then they get their ship to the other coast, and it looks like all is good. But oh no, it is not so. The guys come back, and they start fucking with them with arrows that burn their boat. Then they use this black oil technique, setting their ship ablaze. And it kind of makes our guys look like idiots, they seriously didn’t know a way out of that? I don’t know, kind of nitpicking, so I won’t let it bother me. Then the guy is going to have to start swimming, so that’s about it. Also it was showed he was the brother of the proctor of the Chunin Exam, so that’s kind of cool. Overall I’m glad they’re doing something with these filler, and this isn’t a terrible idea. I just hope the characters are being somehow improved, and that it will at least be entertaining enough to say it was worth watching, which this episode I feel accomplished.
