So this episode features more of Gohan and Piccolo. (We’d had two straight episodes of Goku so that’s a little understandable) This also is the first episode where Gohan states he is trying to go back home, rather than trying to do what Piccolo wanted. That’s actually a lot better than trying to survive or trying to help Piccolo. By wanting to go home he has personal goals that I feel fit the Anime better, and is actually moving on rather than just making camp somewhere. Gohan by now is a lot like Goku when he was younger in Dragonball. A large part of the episode is focused on him, and in the beginning he’s mostly just having fun using his raft. Meanwhile Piccolo is training with a new training exercise of fighting his own doppelganger. One down side to the Piccolo part is he had a long flashback of the Raditz scene that I felt to long. Flashbacks are good, but not if there almost replays of the old moments. Soon though Gohan ends up on an island. It takes him some time to figure out, and all he has for company is his little tiger friend. Him and the tiger I thought actually had a good relationship. At one point the tiger pairs its fangs at Gohan while he is sleeping, but now that Gohan’s grown up he doesn’t wake up. There’s more to it, but that made the tiger and Gohan oddly grow a little. I mean Gohan at the ends leafs him, but I kind of felt he should have kept it, even though knowing the future of what’s going to happen know he shouldn’t. Oh well, but that’s not the last you’ve seen of Mr. Tiger! But as Gohan sets sail on his new raft, Piccolo’s training is cut short as a hurricane picks up and Gohan needs saving. And as Gohan said to himself, "oh I wish I could swim,” I’m like "Oh shit! Your going to die!” But at the end of this episode there’s a cliffhanger as Gohan is in the middle of the storm, which you never really see him being saved from.
