This is definitely arguably the best episode of Death Note for me. It literally was like an explosion of shit happening. First, shit hit the fan. The evil television company that I’d like to imagine is Fox News played the Kira tape, and this hollow voice started killing people at random to show his authority, and that whoever went against Kira would face the same fate, and that soon the police would have to stand against or with Kira, and there were two alternating videos to play for each answer. And whoever stepped up to the door would die, and that happened to one of L’s men. But that’s when Light’s dad turns BAD ASS and takes it into his own hands like a man! He arrives, raises hell, then leaves, Steve Austin style. Yeah, has your dad slammed a car into a building, started holding people hostages then walked out the front door while a major league cereal killer was trying to take him out? No, I don’t think so… in fact I don’t think anyone has a dad like that. And yeah, he gets the tapes, and after an army making sure he gets out, he brings them to L. And then we find out, this was Light, he in fact was just chilling in his room this whole time like any evil genius. And he’s a little upset with the new Kira, while also kind of delighted at the fact of his existence. But he just doesn’t like how he’s tarnishing Kira’s existence, and just say’s he’ll do something about this. But L who is right behind L pretty much knows this is a copycat killer, and following in Kira’s example. And yeah, this one, it really this strong. Those people that died, they were killed so casually, it was sad actually. And this one when you see everyone standing at this big announcement, it just makes you ask what would people do. That’s kind of what Death Note is, questions kind of. Like, do the ends justify the means? But yeah, the new Kira, that’s where I was at the end of this episode, because she’s revealed and everything. It’s a girl, and her name is Misa. And like whenever a main character is thrown in, the whole show changes from here, for good and bad. She’s such an off balance variable you can only imagine at this point what’ll happen. I mean we’ve seen Death Notes in the hand of someone whose really smart, but not a person who is… not really smart, and kind of obsessive. I mean, an evil genius getting their hands on a Death Note is scary, but can you imagine it in the hands of Justin Bieber fan girl? Jesus, that is terrifying just to think about.
Death Note Episode 11 (Assault) gets a 5/5
