First thing I like about episode nineteen is Naruto eating at the ramen place. He actually has a really nice moment with the chef. Yeah, the chef. I don’t know why I just thought watching that it was a really nice moment. Then after that we get the first impression of Shikamaru’s dad who just happens to be buddies with Ino and Choji’s dads. Safe to say, his character is based off Shikamaru’s, and he’s just like him. I think it could have been better, but it kind of worked. Then after that there was this scene with Naruto and Hinata. She kind of gave him courage to go into the match, and in the end even though it was little awkward and Hinata used a line I wouldn’t have. "I learned to like myself a little,” but you got the point, and it was suppose to be sweet. But then Naruto dashes off to the exam arena to try and make it on time. But then he runs into Konohamaru who says he knows a shortcut. But the shortcut leads him even farther away, so in an attempt to save time, Naruto tries to ride a bull he’s told by Konohamaru is much faster than a race horse. Naruto then gets kicked off the bull, and starts running for his life as the bull sees the red circle on the back of his outfit. Some other bulls get the idea and suddenly Naruto is running for his life. But he makes in the arena just in time, and he sees Sasuke isn’t there either. In the end the episode was above average for me. Sure it worked for a whole episode and it didn’t feel like it was slow and boring, but it was somewhat uninteresting, and from the last episode you were thinking something a little bigger would happen, which it didn’t. Either way the next episode we being the final stage, and the real show beings.
