As the search for a way to Namek continues, you feel a lot more of the smaller characters are getting the spotlight. Krillen and Bulma who’d barely been used until now are now central characters. This episode mostly features Bulma, as she accidentally blows up Nappa’s spaceship and thus eliminating their only possibility of going to Namek. But nothing to fear, Mr. Popo randomly comes and visit’s the warriors for no reason. He’s probably just more bored shitless than usual on the lookout without Kami. He hovers next to the hospital everyone’s staying at and people can clearly see him flying next to an open window. That’s another thing I love about DBZ, nobody at all cares when their superhuman powers come to play, and yet they’re still surprised every time. But this is possibly the most awkward and strange moment in DBZ. Popo is just pretty much the creepiest guy on the planet. He just smiles all creepily, just fucking stares at people without answering them. But he says he can provide a spaceship, which Bulma goes along with him to his journey to where Kami grew up. He’s such an ass he makes Bulma climb up mountains and doesn’t really acknowledge her. Soon they find the spaceship Kami had been sent to Earth in as a child, and after a mix up they find out it’s working and almost accidentally find themselves in Jupiter. There’s a big ass hole in the ship, but I guess Bulma randomly could breath in space for that time being. Anyway this episode as a whole doesn’t really do much, and they could have fit it into like a ten minute frame if they rushed it. I’m not mad they took their time, the whole episode fall under the idea of them getting his ship. But it’s not that interesting. I don’t want to give another average rating, especially with only a few episodes left, but in the end this episode is just really average, and not even a high average rating at that.
