Episode seventy-one is mostly the battle between the Third Hokage and Orochimaru. Also the second and first Hokage, if you count them. We learn how they’re there, it’s a summoning jutsu killing a person in a casket, and turning their body into a dead person who can now somewhat be alive. But the match I do think is very intense, and extreme. Both of these guys know hundreds of jutsu, and you’re not at all surprised when they start doing crap that is so overwhelming. It really does seem like it’s in Orochimaru’s favor completely as he is still younger and has two Hokage on his side, and Third Hokage is weaker. But he manages to kind of hold out, but you know it’s just like fighting the impossible. No matter how well he does, you do feel like Orochimaru is just playing with him. And that’s mostly the whole episode. It ends just as Sasuke catches of with the sand ninja team. In the end the momentum is carried on enough, and I do think the fight between the Third Hokage and Orochimaru does deserve at least one full episode. But as things heat up I would like the pace to move a tiny bit faster. Anyway it’s another good episode, and keeps up the intensity.
