Ah, the second episode. This episode is really the first episode in my mind. Yeah, I don’t think many can disagree with that. In this you learn Goku’s true origin story, get the proper introductions to these characters, and Raditz proves why he is a bad ass. (Don’t get to used to it) In fact the only character who wasn’t introduced was Piccolo, but the episode holds enough story for us to wait for that. It begins with the side characters getting properly introduced. Roshi was perverted, and then later wise, and this is probably one of his better episodes. Of course the idea was to introduce Gohan, and Goku wasn’t as big, but I like that they made Gohan and Goku’s relationship good. Gohan in this is a bit winy, but that’s just his character starting. I could even tell in this one episode he would later develop. This episode does something I like in anime episodes, and layout a nice storyline in one episode, and in that episode in seems like a big ass onslaught of "WHAT THE…!” and makes for an entertaining episode. Raditz from what you get is ready to make a good character, and you really do feel a little bit of a helplessness scenario for Goku when his best friend gets bitch slapped through a house and his son gets kidnapped. The only think I wished was the first Kammaha wave to truly start the show off.
DragonBall Z Episode 2 (Reunions) gets a 4/5
