In the beginning of episode eight, Rio declares he wants to become a Shaman. They announced before you can’t really just become a Shaman, so when Rio asks the gang if he can become one, Anna mostly uses this for him to do chores. I know from the game he’ll become one, but I’m not exactly sure how. For now he’s doing the most gangster thing ever, doing chores for a thirteen year old. I guess his only excuse for that is that it’s Anna. Anyway, now that Yoh has defeated both Len and Jun, a new character seems to want to and rise up to the task. And when Jun and Lenny can’t get the job done, you send in Ginny. And yes, like Lenny and Jun’s name similar to being put together, she just seems like another part of the family. In the end I don’t even really like her, and I’m not sure if she’s even a main character. But she takes on Yoh, and Yoh wins, and that’s it. She’s another doshi, and has spirits fight her battle. I will admit she has a pretty kick ass spirit. It’s like a female ninja, and it just defeats Pai-Long like it’s her business. But of course Yoh is getting pretty strong, and takes her out with little effort. The episode ends as what we see is likely a big bad guy who’s been slowly getting hyped, and it seems he has an army on his side, all of which will get a piece of Yoh. I think this is my least favorite episode so far, as it just doesn’t do a lot. Not that’s it’s not really good, but I’m just a little tired of this Tao family challenging, losing, than repeat. And Ginny being not a good character makes that a little slower for me. Sill a good episode, and I still really like it. It’s not far from the other ones, but just not as good.
