Episode 17 Review (Road Trip)Who would have thought Rio could sing? Anyway, we pick up where our last episode was, as they awake in the hospital. And Morty is distraught to hear Yoh say he and Morty can’t hang out, and he’s kind of a dick about it too, but we learn it isn’t Anna (thank God,) it’s Yoh trying to save his friend, and take a step towards becoming Shaman King. Morty doesn’t know that though, and with all the flashbacks and monologues, it really helps their friendship, which you kind of undermined until now. Apart from that, Rio comes back, and he tells Morty he’ll find Yoh, and so they take off on the open road. But at a rest stop they get ambushed by two random characters that I don’t know anything about, and still don’t. But he brings out his Shaman, you can guess who it is. And it keeps going and Yoh comes back home to his grandfather, and he tells him he will have to due a trial that will last seven days where he loses all senses, but a sixth shaman sense will strengthen if he makes it through. And at the end with this other new girl who’s name I’m forgetting, and I’m not sure what exactly happened there besides some people are going after likely Morty and Rio. In the end this was actually a really good episode, and rose every character a little bit, made me actually like Morty and Yoh’s relationship, brought Rio back, and a lot more. All in all a really good episode.
