Just keep adding to the long ass names of episodes why don’t you. Anyway, the beginning of this episode actually does something strange I hadn’t expected. It recapped all of the last thirteen episodes, and with Iruka Sensei narrating it. I don’t know why that was there, other than just to get people caught up or stall time. The episode doesn’t really start until almost ten minutes in which feels like a bit of a waste to me, but whatever. The battle between Sasuke and Naruto vs. Haku rages on! It seems Haku doesn’t want to kill either Naruto or Sasuke, as he stopped Zabuza’s attack on Naruto and his needles only scratched Sasuke before. But soon enough he returns into the crystal ice mirrors. But Naruto cleverly goes in with him, even though staying on the outside would have allowed an easy way to break the mirrors. After that we see another glimpse of Haku’s back-story, and after that Haku gives a pretty nice speech of how their dreams will clash and because he’s a shinobi he will do what is necessary even though he doesn’t really want to. In the end there’s not really a huge problem with this episodes, but this could have been a minute worth of story in a shorter anime that needed to cut time. The whole relapse of the past wasn’t necearry, and although cool it could have been an extra in some Naruto DVD going up to the land of waves and I wouldn’t have known the difference. I just don’t like wasting time, and although it’s not boring, it just feels a little time consuming, and should have more to be a full fledged episode.
