Really, L can’t put on a harmless little sock? I mean he walks around school barefoot, and plays tennis barefoot? That’s disgusting…ly awesome. And then Light and L have a tennis match, and yeah, it’s really awesome. Like, way better than any tennis match I’ve seen in real life… okay I haven’t seen many, but you get my point. It’s a mental battle, and has nothing to do with the actual tennis, they’re just going hard at tennis nonchalantly, and yeah, I guess they’re also really talented on top of being geniuses. Afterwards the two go out for a drink, and L tests Light’s deductive skills. Psyche! It was actually a trap to get him to trip up and make it pretty much fact he knew the message he used against L, so L basically just stabbed him with his own knife. Yeah, and all the while with that nonchalantly tone and no socks. Yeah, all the reasons why I love L. Anyway, while they’re eating, L gets a call, and yeah, his dad had a heart attack. And no, it wasn’t to disprove L, he actually had a heart attack, and they kind of push it off. Yeah, they get they’re he’s talking, and it wasn’t much more than "WAIT, WHAT!??” But yeah, it was a good wait, what, even if with little follow up. But don’t worry, the episode ends on a followed up, "WAIT, WHAT!?? Yes, the crew of a television show gets a note from Kira saying if they don’t play his message, they’re all gonna die. And yeah, trust me, this gets followed up. Big awesome cliff hanger. Anyway, the episode as a whole I thought was great, I remember watching this for the first time, and I was getting into this shit. Great episode, hands down, who in the right mind doesn’t want to watch epic tennis?
