Episode 58 Review (Hospital Besieged: The Evil Hand Revealed!)Oh no! The master hand from smash bros. has entered Naruto! O.K. it’s not that awesome. The beginning of this episode is actually kind of funny to me, and the sand ninjas shit their pants as they realize Gaara isn’t in the house. He’s like a little monster in the basement, that’s how screwed up Gaara is. He can’t even be left alone, but if your with him he’s probably going to kill you. How did Kankuro and Temari live so long? Anyway Naruto is in the hospital and wakes up a day before the final exam. He finds Shikamaru at his bed, and they actually have a pretty friendly conversation. Soon however we see as somebody approaches Lee’s bed, and it turns out to be Gaara. He tries to kill Lee, but Shikamaru and Naruto stop him. Pretty much the rest of the episode is Gaara’s back-story, which we get a piece of. We learn from a young age he is a lot like Naruto. Like Naruto he had nobody, nobody really liked him, and he to had some form of a demon inside of him. He although didn’t have a Iruka sensei or goal like Naruto, and he got kicks from killing people. That’s kind of a forced back-story, but it kind of works. Either way Gaara at this point is a monster in twelve year old body. He’s unstable, and needs to be in an asylum. Anyway this is a good episode, although a lot more serious episode. Gaara is a really strange character, and he’s like a really vicious dog that needs to be put down, so it’ll be interesting to see where that’ll go. And if I remember watching this episode wondering how it would all go with the sand ready to attack the leaf, the third exam coming along, and all the characters freshly trained just how strong they’ll be.
