Yes, the one ending that was just nice. If I was writing this script I’d also just be like "eh… they can have one good moment.” Anyway, it’s a pretty fill in the blank episode. But the most important thing is what happens at the end, and what we learn about Yamazaki. First at the beginning of the episode he gets turn down an offer for a friend zone date, and he basically goes crazy pretending to be a strange robotic crime fighter. Then we learn at a young age his friend zone crush turned down his offer to go on a date to the fireworks before he shortly moved. And then he went to the fireworks and saw her with another boy, and fled, using the mask of the—I’m just going to call it a robotic crime fighter—and then never saw her again. So he denounces his faith in women, and says how they’re only human, and romantic marriage is a culture adapted from over seas. And then he got a phone call from the girl saying her appointment got canceled and invited him. And possibly the best scene in the show was followed with Yamazaki ever-so-coolly leaving, right after his epic "Be Gone Dirty Whores” speech. Anyway, after that, Sato gets an invite from Misaki. And then it’s a simple good ending of them watching fireworks, and of course, Sato and Misaki holding hands… that dog! Anyway, this episode was getting really slow for awhile. It was kind of nonsense with the game and counseling, but luckily it wrapped itself around with a very nice ending. And yeah, it had a pretty good self contained social commentary on relationships, and how socially awkward guys look at women, and then quickly turn around. Not nearly to that extreme, but definitely there. And if you’re an angry nerd who hates women ‘cause you can’t get any, just wait by a phone and see how happy you’ll be if you get a call. And if not, the dirty whores can be gone, right? Overall, very good episode.
