Movies. Video Games. Music. Books. And awesome shows like
Avatar. Long ago, a reviewer hadn’t seen Avatar: The Last Airbender. But everything
changed when he heard very good things about it on the internet, and wanted to
see more of it because he saw some episodes as a child. Luckily for the
reviewer, he’d already mastered all the requirements for sitting on his lazy
ass, so he didn’t need sixty one episodes to learn anything. He watched the
show, and a couple of months passed, and he discovered it would make for some
nice reviews, and be really fun to watch the series again. And although he had
conquered one show before, he’d still a long way to go before he was ready to
review anything. But I believe, he can review the show!
Sorry, I had to make that
opening. Anyway, after months of going through sixty-one episode reviews, three
season reviews, we are here! Quick summary time! Avatar is about a boy named
Aang and friends. Aang gets unfrozen out of an iceberg by two friends named
Katara and Sokka. They live in a world were you bend elements, and each element
has its own nation. Unfortunately, the fire nation took over. But the Avatar, master
of all four elements, can stop him!... but he’s not been seen in a hundred
years… oh wait! Aang is the Avatar, and now that he’s unfrozen, he’s ready to
do some damage… and have some really fun episodes about beaches, going to a
funny play, an much much more. The show is divided into three seasons, each
superb. But my personal favorite as I stated before, is the second, just by a
hair. But the episodes meet episodic cartoon fashion with nice long story anime
style. And with some nice character variety and growth made a predominant
theme, there is not a single episode I did not like. They were all at least
good. Even the Great Divide, I know a lot of people don’t like that one. Bur
for characters, just know they’re all great. Each has their own story and motives,
and value. The villains are great as well. (by that I mean Azula) Even just
strong personalities and style are really good, and even so much Toph became my
favorite character with the least amount of character building out of the main
group. As for animation, it’s great. It has its own style, the colors pop very
nicely. Again, it looks like anime, meets cartoon. Which in a world where the
two aren’t anything different, and it’s all TV, who really cares, let’s enjoy
the pretty pictures together. But everyone has very unique character designs,
and even common fire nation soldier four has a cool armor, and it’s his
birthday, and it would mean a lot if I complimented him… inside joke. Anyway, why
not talk about some music? Ah, it goes for epic. And they find it pretty
nicely. Whether it’s a pallet of drums, some kind of concerto of… flutes… (I’m
not good with instruments) it all sounds epic. Very nicely… I even want some of
my iPod, and will eventually get some. And I don’t normally do that. Also, the show
has certain values that appeal to everyone. Kids will love it, kids love
everything! As long as its’ kid friendly that is. Adults and teenagers like
myself will enjoy it, because it isn’t really a kid show when most the fandom
is adults. People just trying to laugh and have a good time will like it. The
artistic guy wanting to see it as art will like. Even that snobby bastard
reviewer who reviews with his nose all up in the air will like it, because it’s
that damn good. And it’s a fucking Nickelodeon show! That’s amazing for them!
The fact they picked up on something so lucky, and truthfully, I think they did
so on a whim, call it an A+ experiment, everything went right that would have.
And based on the fact Korra exists, and I still have some reviews for the next
series to make, I guess other people think so too. The show is amazing, from
the characters to the fun. It’s one of those shows you’ll geek out over. It’s
smart, charming, funny, and great for everyone. On that note it masters all its
elements.
