Episode 16 Review (Plight of the Children)

Episode 16 Review (Plight Of The Children Review)

Episode sixteen is one of my more memorable and favorable episodes during the time of training for the Z-warriors. A lot of DBZ episodes I’ve only watched the once, not counting parts or when I was a child, but this episode for some reason I’ve watched like four times. I like it because it has it’s individual premise and moves along as a whole also at the end of the episode. Also Gohan has a great relationship with these orphans he meets, and even though there are cheesy moments (Pigero literally says to Gohan "I’ll check you later") but this episode I really feel like it did everything it needed to. And when I look back on season one, and then think of good individual episodes, I usually think of this one because it stands out by being individual. The end of this episode really does make it feel like Gohan has grow up, as he finally reaches home. But he then walks away, just as he reaches home. He knew what he had to do, and that really helps his character a lot. This episode I feel I can watch again and again, and it’s one of the reasons why season one of DBZ might be the most re-watchable  because it has episodes like this. All I know what to know why I never saw Pigero again! What part of "I hope I can see you again someday” did he not understand?
Episode 16 (Plight Of The Children) gets a 5/5
