Episode 30 Review (Goku vs. Vegeta)

Ah, just the name of the episode is utterly bad ass. Goku and Vegeta quickly arrive at their rocky battlefield, and just when Goku and Vegeta are talking on the two rocks before they fight, that’s a really amazing DBZ moment. Everything from the dialogue to the wind gets you pumped up for the best battle so far. The fight is like two titans going back and fourth, each one getting more and more powerful after each blow. But then Vegeta powers up, seems to shake places hundreds of miles away. In DBZ when you power up, you affect the world around you. How much you control around you is up to you, but usually the more powerful you are the less the world around you brakes down, that is if you care about the world breaking around you. Vegeta obviously either doesn’t have much control, or doesn’t give a damn either way. But again Goku will not be out done, and the episode ends with him powering up to Kaioken times three (he’s not suppose to go over times two) He reaches a point where his son is in awe of his power, and the scouter blows up just trying to read his power level. In the end although this episode feel classic, and really is the beginning of the end of this amazing season, I can’t quite give it a ten out of ten. It’s really awesome and everything, but the show only started. Sure it’s mostly fighting, but it had how many episodes before it to hype it? I can’t be like "oh this one single episode had to much action,” that would be pointless, and it still had a little story. Also nobody really developed in this episode, so I can’t really give it the Character badge either. (Although at this point we have our characters and you don’t really need to develop them. That’s like introducing characters during the climax of a book or movie) Anyway I think this episode is an elite, which is a fitting grade due to it’s theme around Goku the underdog taking on the elite Saiyan.
