(Bitches) Love Me gets a 1/5
Now, before I begin my first review of a Lil Wayne song, I thought I’d give some background. I’ve given Wayne crap before, and am not really a fan, but I will say a part of me would rather review first a song I like, like 6 Foot 7 Foot, or Drop the World, or whatever. But after this song, I felt I had to say something. But I don’t hate Wayne, I mean don’t really hate any rapper, and I feel he is good when he’s trying. Emphasis on TRYING. And in a song like this he’s kind of trying, but he’s putting more effort on making metaphors and pun clines to sex, which he’s done so many times before. I mean, does he still find it fun to make sex jokes at this point. Anyway, I’ll get Drake and Future’s part out first. Actually no, the producer of course has to have his sound affect, so I’ll get to him first. STOP. There, now back to the rappers. First, when the fuck was Future the guy you go to for hooks? I mean seriously, Future, he half the time can’t even get autotune to work, and when he does, it’s not like he sounds phenomenal. He works enough for the song, but he sounds like he’s sad or something, which is weird, because so does Drake. Seriously, Drake came in to help a chorus? That’s it? Again, I think when an artist features on a song, it should mean something. Drake kind of helping on a chorus, isn’t really meaning anything, it’s like he was thrown into it for some reason. And yeah, he doesn’t sound excited or anything. It’s a sex song, and he sounds miserable. He sounds more tired and not caring he did in Started From the Bottom, but this time he’s on the chorus. Like he could have just been crying, cheered up again, and that’s it. That’s how monotone he is. At least Future kind of sounds like he’s enjoying his sex song, I mean he should, I half expected him to disappear completely from everyone’s minds, for how little he’s in. And for the lyrics. And again, this song almost makes me sad. Like the idea is they don’t care about anything, as long as they can have sex with their bitches. But yeah, when they’re talking so depressingly, it seems like sad at one point. And yeah, the chorus is typical bullshit I got my bud, my bottles, my bitches, fuck you. Seen it a thousand times before, and likely to see it a thousand times again. And Lil Wayne’s verses I’ll sum up as some of his usual. He’s making good metaphors, good punch lines, but again, they have really shitty messages we’ve seen a lot. And there’s a line about him comparing himself to Satan, and you know all those little cultists who believe musicians sell their soul to the devil and all that shit got into that, and all I can say is if that’s all you need to believe someone sold their soul to Satan, then that shows how little I take you people seriously. I will say I did like his line about skateboarding, where he made fun of himself a little, that was good. Aside from that, I don’t like the lyrics at all. I don’t even like the title, as it sounds like the title of a song that’s actually suppose to be where he’s going to get more thought provoking. But no, it’s another bragging song. Not that he shouldn’t make these songs, just not in such quantity, I’d say one or two on an album is my preference, but since it’s Lil Wayne, I think I’ll give leverage and say four at the most, but yeah, he’s going to pass it. And the song, It’s very depressing, and I don’t want to be the guy to say, "this is really taking a shot at women in general,” but fuck, this is really bad. And that doesn’t help when  the chicks in the video are literally wearing Scold’s Bridals… those are helmets men used way back when at times when women were talking to much. Yeah… it’s pretty much an anti-women song at that point. I wonder if the actress in the video is proud to make cash off that. And again, the song seems like a sad dark twisted song, but it’s not a club song. It has the generic techno beat, but it’s not anything anyone in a club would dance too, and with how sad Future and Drake sound, it’s impossible to dance too. So yeah, another slap in the face when this could have been thought provoking. And another thing, this song is getting way into the haters thing. When you keep saying, "I don’t give a fuck about no hater,” over and over again, it starts to sound like you care. If you don’t care, then why open the song about not caring about haters, have it in the hook, and referenced multiple times, and just in this song alone. If a person was like, "I don’t care…. I don’t care… I don’t. I don’t care. I DON’T CARE! I DON’T CAAAARE!” Then yes, I would assume they’re starting to care. And they shouldn’t, apparently this song says they’re only in it for women and their drinks and money and weed, so stop saying you don’t care about haters, because it’s during a neutral line into a bad one.  And back to Wayne’s lyrics, I know I gave some credit because some lines were smart in a stupid way, but when you segway these lines

"Fuck with me and get bodied.”
To.
"And all she eat is dick. She’s on a strict diet.”

Then you are making a big jump. How do you go from, "DON’T FUCK WITH ME!” to "Yeah, that bitch, she loves my penis.” Like, did someone take out a few lines or something? And another thing, how do chicks still like Lil Wayne after this? I mean, I don’t really care what your into, but he’s literally saying just shut up and give him sex and nothing else. Whatever. Another question, how does Lupe Fiasco’s Bitch Bad which talks about women being abused get talked shit about in its direction, but women in cages as Lil Wayne says after I cum don’t make a sound doesn’t make anyone raise an eyebrow? If I can give this song any leeway, it’s him referring to whores, and not just women. And he’s saying he only has sex with whores. But that still isn’t an excuse to everything I’ve described. As far as the video, it has women in cages, Lil Wayne with a bunch of hot chicks on a bed, more of the demonic shit like women playing with a pool of blood, and more shit like that. Need I go on? Anyway, I guess a pretty good sound and some okay lines stop this from getting a one, but fuck, this is not a good song, and hopefully the next Wayne review is better.
