Episode 51 Review (A Shadow In The Darkness: Danger Approaches Sasuke)

Again, "Danger Approaches Sasuke” WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE. Our episode begins with the sound man vs. Choji. And… damn that was short. Sound man pulls a win just by getting one good hit, and Choji thought he was being so smart. But then yes, the preliminaries are over! Then after another somewhat dull talk between Orochimaru and Kabuto, we have the Third Hokage giving congrats to the winners and breaking down how the third exam will go. But before he can we see as Kabuto is just about to kill Sasuke. But of course Kakashi stops him, but rather than killing Sasuke he gets away, and we get a glimpse of his talent as he’s playing mind games with the dead bodies. But then the Third Hokage tells in one months time (one month to prepare) all the Genin will face off in a tournament, and the way to become Chunin is to impress the judges. It could either mean all or none of the Genin could become Chunin. Naruto gets paired with Neji, Sasuke with Gaara, and several others. Then our episode ends as Naruto tries to go to Kakashi for help in his training, but Kakashi says he’s prepared him with a even better teacher, and tries to give him Ebisu. (Konohamaru’s teacher from episode 2) In the end the episode was pretty good, it had a quick fight, broke down the plot for the next month Naruto is about to go through, and helped Kabuto and Orochimaru’s character a little. But the biggest thing to say is the preliminaries are over, the third exam can soon begin! But first we have a month of training so let’s se how this goes first.
