Yes, after a short period of absence I am back with a Naruto review. I was going to get back into the DBZ reviews, but right now I’m feeling a Naruto mood. So the team is back from the land of waves, and even though I would have liked a scene where they tell the third Hokage how extreme the mission got and Naruto smugly brags, it’s more or less just like before where they’re not getting along and doing more or less chores for missions. Naruto and Sasuke are almost at the point of breaking into fights whenever, and Sasuke is even a dick to Sakura saying your as bad as Naruto, than saying she’s even worse than him. At this point Sakura hasn’t done much, and I like that they point that out. But seriously she needs to do something soon. But I like they actually notice and acknowledge this and use it for comedy, which improves it a lot. Then we see Naruto is being followed by a strange rock. And we find out no shit that it’s Konohamaru and his two new friends. It’s a little cheesy the moment they’re introduced, but after that Sakura comes over and there’s actually another comedy scene which ends with Sakura beating Naruto’s ass. I actually did laugh so there’s something. But as Konohamaru talks trash about Sakura as she leaves, she comes running back. (Don’t talk shit about Sakura’s huge ass forehead!) But then it goes somewhere with the comedy as Konohamaru runs into two strange looking ninja. They're clearly outsiders, and even though they don’t say at it first their names are Temari and Kankuro, and they’re from the village hidden in the sand. The guy Kankuro grabs Konohamaru by the neck and looks ready to pound his face in. Naruto tries to step in, but trips against his will. (Kankuro clearly did something) But the day is saved by Sasuke who throws a pebble at his hand. (What a bad ass!) But then we see as the real deal shows up as a strange little red headed boy appears behind Sasuke, upside down no less. Because everyone knows if you make an entrance while defying the laws of physics your way cooler. Anyway our episode ends while we see the Third Hokage has set up a meeting, and we hear talk of Genin from other nations have arrived, and in one week something will be decided. It ends as the Third Hokage says that only the best will make Chunin. Anyway the episode was pretty good. I laughed at the funny parts, and it had an all right introduction to some what looks like important characters. But in the end the biggest news is the Chunin Exams Arc has begun.
