That face at the end, that was priceless.
Anyway, Sato meets up with his Hitomi, and they have coffee. Somehow he sort of
blurts out he’s a hikikomori, but he’s O.K. with that, and he’s… I don’t get
Sato. But yeah, she’s keep her strange calm exterior. And we see more of their
past, and just how close of a relationship they had. Apparently they had sex on
the last day of school… I didn’t remember that, so that was news to me. Here I
thought Sato never got any. Well congrats, and I assumed she brought protection
because Sato sure as hell didn’t. Anyway, with that weirdness out of the way,
(like we’ll ever do that in this show) Sato confronts Misaki, and he tells her
he’s a hikikomori. *gasps* After that, she begins counseling. And it’s basic,
and Sato is a little offended because when she starts talking about psychology,
she mentions Freud and she assumes he doesn’t know who he is. Because who
doesn’t know who the hell doesn’t know who Sigmund Freud is!... I learned who
he was a couple weeks ago. Anyway, after that Sato returns to Yamazaki with the
script he wrote last night, and he looks to be changing for the better.
Everything is awesome until… he steps on his precious statue. And… that face at
the end, it was everything. It would be my face if somebody stepped and broke
on my nerd stuff. Luckily my nerd stuff doesn’t include weird Japanese dolls,
but no judging Yamazaki, you weird bastard, you. Anyway, I really liked this
episode. It was more somber, and dealt more with the character. A light four
for me on this one, but it was really really good. This is the part of the show
you got the characters down, you know everyone, you’re intrigued, and you’re
entertained. But it’s weird. It’s uncomfortable, but still somehow
enlightening. Kind of like counseling…
