Naruto Volume 19 Review

Naruto: Volume 19 Review

So, I had this idea. For awhile now, I have been reading the Naruto Manga from my school’s library. I plan to read the rest of the series, as well as many others until I graduate. Since I can’t really afford many Manga, I thought I should review these while I can. A couple a minutes ago I finished this, and I think from now on I will review these after I finish them. For my first Manga review, I will say I don’t know much about Manga. I don’t care much for art styles, the pictures, or much to do with the art in general. I like seeing the story in a different format, and I do like art, despite not getting all art freak over it. When I decided to do these reviews, I didn’t think my first would be this good. This one seems to go all out, and holds enough story to cover half a season of an average anime. This one helps strengthen characters like Orochimaru, Tsunade, and even Kabuto I thought. (Of course it also helps Naruto, but that happens in just about every one of the mangas) This is almost dedicated to the three man squad relationship of the three great shinobi. Also, from here on out I’m excited, because now in the series I don’t know what‘s going to happen, so that’s a plus for me. For a second I actually paused and asked myself would this be a good finale for the series itself. Surprisingly I said yes. We could assume after the Tsuande thing Naruto would become Hokage, everything would be tied up except for Sasuke and Sakura being nowhere in sight for the final battle. I thought the fighting, story, and character development was at its peek in this one, not only that but this makes for possibly my favorite Manga yet. (calm down, I’ve got a lot of Manga to read before that means anything) I also like that the story almost seemed to get better after the Gaara saga, and considering this is usually the point where nothing would happen says something. I’m much happier knowing these Manga reviews are coming. I probably would have forgot which volume this would have been if I didn’t do this, and I can now think positively about one volume, and I can’t wait for the rest to come.

Naruto: Volume 19 gets a 5/5

Spoilers: I have to say, I just love the battle between the three great Shinobi in this. I was a little upset that it gave excuses for them not to go all out, but I still found it entertaining. I think the symbolism with Tsunade meant a lot, and that Naruto cleverly using his shadow clone to use his technique was all good story telling. I think in this one everything was done perfectly, and I was happy it didn’t end on a cliffhanger of what was next to come. It was done really well.
