Episode 7 Review (Pai-Long Attacks!)

And we have now hit part two of the match between Jun and Yoh. While their battle carries on, Morty actually rather than running away, was running for another reason. As he sees some gang type characters (apparently this city is full of them) he tries to take their sword, which he manages to do with Rio’s help who happens to be wandering by. The two come to Yoh’s safety, and Rio gives his weapon to Yoh. Yoh manages to free Pai-Long from Jun, but he is still pretty pissed. Yoh stops him before he can harm Jun. Jun suggests that Pai-Long wouldn’t harm his master, but that isn’t much good being that he’s dead. But than Anna’s just like, "Oh, I just so happen can summon any dead person, isn’t that convenient?” And so she brings Pai-Long’s master, and has him use Yoh’s body to smack down evil. Pai-Long is awakened, and seems to have been in some kind of zombie prison, even after being rescued. But he’s all good now. Like I guessed in the last episode, Jun sees the error of her ways, and seeing Pai-Long was a person with emotion and not just some drifting spirit, she joins the cause for good. Pai-Long then stops her, and asks if he can join her side as a guardian ghost, and together they can correct the wrongs they made. The episode then ends just as Len watches from above, and says his sister has gone soft, and he’ll take out Yoh. It actually is good, and I know right now we’re just trying to establish the characters, so I won’t bitch. It was a little fast for Jun to go from good to bad, but that’s a little necessary right now. I just hope she kind of keeps that attitude she had, because that was actually pretty cool. Anyway, still a great episode, and I’m excited to see what’ll happen next.
