I’ve said before, and I’ll say it again. Kiba is the Yamcha of Naruto. Anyway our episode starts with Kiba and Naruto fighting off. First Kiba gets a flashback of Naruto back at the academy and remembers how weak he was. Then after the battle they actually make Naruto look pretty weak when Kiba knocks him down, but of course Naruto gets right back up. There’s a little quick match where Naruto actually comes out on top, but doesn’t really get much damage. Then Kiba feeds Akamaru a random pill, and eats one himself, and the two suddenly are on instant steroids. (They’re actually food pills that are suppose to double a person’s chakra) They beat Naruto to the ground. But then after some talk from Hinata about how he’s always trying to earn respect. Then Naruto rises and our episode ends. I say this is a low seven for me on terms of the episode. It’s good, and it’s another Naruto boosting episode, but there’s nothing that great about it. Although Kiba’s in it, it’s not about raising his character, it’s about giving Naruto a chance to show everyone how strong he’s become. There isn’t much fighting, or story really, which kind of makes it feel like little happened. Still a good episode though, and I think the next one will be even better.
