Reaction to Katy Perry's Dark Horse Music Video "Creative Topic" #26"Creative Topic” #26: Reaction to Dark Horse’s music video
starring Katy Perry ft. Juicy J &
Juicy J & Illuminati Music Videos
If you’re confused about the
title, the idiot who wrote the title on Youtube wrote Juicy J was featured
twice. Maybe they’ve fixed it, but for right now, they look like idiots. It’s
also probably the longest title I’ve had for one of these. Anyway, on to the
music video. First, I want to say why this is a stupid decision to go with this
illuminati & Egyptian style of music video. One, this song is already on
top of the billboard chart without a music video. And it’s BEEN out. The song
can only go down. And if it’s been out this long without a music video and hit
billboard’s #1, then people probably have their own visualization. And so,
pretty much whatever you do could be bad. And for the illuminati shit, people
are aware at this point. Whether the illuminati is real, I’m not doing that
discussion, but from a business perspective, people are aware. And the more
illuminati shit you put in, the more people will dislike you, and wonder what
the hell you’re doing. And doing that for this track is more questionable. As
for the Egyptian theme, it makes sense. If you’re trying to add as many
illuminati symbolism as you can that is. Afraid people will wonder why the eye
of Horus is literally designed on her hair, and in the thumbnail. But the style
does not fit the song at all. Like… very little. They mention magic once, (the
song lyrics are pretty inconsistent) and that was the only thing that drew me
besides Juicy J’s mention of a pharaoh. But I think the biggest highlight of
this music video was the fucking WWE Championship around random dude’s waist
for part of the song. Did they… not know what it was? It’s so fake too, it’s
laughable. Like why? Katy Perry is somewhat on the train of artists who do
random shit in music videos like Lady GaGa for the sake of people spreading the
video wondering what the fuck it’s about. But Lady GaGa makes it work by using
that as her gimmick, Katy Perry’s gimmick doesn’t have the wiggle room of, "Hey
let’s make this character turn into a dog at the end of the video.” And God,
this had high production quality. I remember when Eminem’s video of the Monster
came out, and I didn’t think it would be good because again, it was a music
video coming out when the track was already on top of billboard. But no, his
video was possibly better than the song. However, Katy Perry made the most
bizarre illuminati and possibly WWE admiring song in a long time… I don’t think
we’ll ever get that again. And if I review this track ever, I’ll go into more
detail, and have more of a reaction than this one time I saw the video. In the
end music videos don’t really matter, they’re fluff, and mostly their to add
image for the artist’s character. However, if you are doing that, make sure you
don’t completely fuck up you’re artist’s character, as it seems Katy Perry
after her triumphant never ending teenage dream year seems to be slowly seeping
downwards.
