So this is basically the climax of Ba Sing Se is fucking crazy arc. First the Boomeraang squad goes looking for Appa, and Zuko finds a piece of paper, and knows Aang is in the city. Meanwhile the illuminati Earth Kingdom guys think they have to get Aang out at once. But that’s when they run into Jet, and he can’t remember a thing, because he was brainwashed. And yeah, Katara almost literally kills him on the spot. (Bet she feels a little bad about that later when he dies! OH!) And yeah, he slowly remembers Lake Laogai, and they head over there, and Zuko also heads over there as the Blue Spirit. And then that’s when things go wrong and the illuminati bad guy starts going after them. He brainwashes Jet into attacking Aang, but then when Jet comes to, he basically kills him. Not big time officially, kid show, but he was suppose to die. Okay, bullshit aside, he died, there. Zuko then ran into where Appa was, and has to decide whether to take him or not. Then Iroh pops up and gets on his case on what he must choose and has to look inward. In the end he let Appa go, but didn’t take him. Appa beat up Illuminati bad guy, and used him as a skipping stone. Appa and the others are reunited at last, Zuko gets rid of his Blue Spirit outfit, and everything wraps up. I will admit I think the Jet part was a little messy, but the thing as a whole was. I think he had a pretty good end though. Definitely not one of my favorite characters, but hey, at least they did something with him. And I liked the Lake, it was really creepy and dark. That room full of those little brainwashed women, that got chills. And the Appa reunion, didn’t it feel good? They were cramming a lot of stuff, but I felt they did a good job, even if rushing a little. I really liked the episode, and the storytelling was awesome, even if pacing was a little off. Definitely gets a five, this episode was awesome, and had so much stuff. Plus Toph was really cool in this episode, being really funny, I liked it.
