Jennifer's Body Review

 Jennifer’s Body Review
Starring: Meagan Fox, Amanda Seyfried, Johnny Simmons
Director: Karyn Kasuma
Year: 2009

Ever go back to a movie, and it’s completely different. Yeah, that just happened to me. I don’t know why, but I think I’ve become more of a pussy when it comes to gore over the years. Anyway, Jennifer’s Body. I did not like this movie. It was like Spring Breakers all over again, where I got slapped in the face with this movie getting good reviews. For instance, the big scene is drama, and followed by Meagan Fox’s dying breath, "My tit…” Yes, spoiler, I don’t give a fuck. You will excuse me, I’ve been up for awhile, and usually that makes movies worse for me. But I watched another movie alongside this, and I’ll review it after this, but just saying, I loved that movie, and I watched that after I hit the twenty-four hour mark. But anyway, Jennifer’s Body. Basically this illuminati devil worshipping band takes Meagan Fox, the eye candy and bitchy high school girl of this movie. And they accidentally turn her into a succubus, with cool powers and everything. And most of the film is her going around, killing people. And yeah, that gore. Ever see a kid’s innards get eaten? And these killings, they’re really useless. They’re sad, you know these characters family, and you see the mourning. They’re believable enough people, but basically the main character doesn’t do anything the whole movie. It takes her until Meagan Fox crosses the line by going after her boyfriend, and that’s basically a weird fucked up romance triangle, because the guy for some stupid reason just goes for Meagan Fox. And yeah, then there will be these really weird comedy scenes. The dialogue in this movie is hilarious… and kind of gross. Like, weird. Lines from how Meagan Fox will eat you and shit you out, to Meagan Fox saying, "You give me such a wetty.” It was like this movie was so fucking dark and disturbing, and they realized it was going to be a teenage movie, so they switched it to have more comedy. But then it almost feels like one of those non serious movies that don’t take itself that seriously. But then the film is filmed like a really stylistic movie, and they have dialogue that’s serious, and it seems to take itself pretty damn seriously. But then it’s almost like this movie that’s so bad it’s good, one you can laugh at with friends. (don’t get me wrong, I still give these movie bad ratings, but I point out they’re alternative use) But no, the gore scenes I don’t want to watch, I watched it with my brother now and it was just disgusting. Basically this movie is a total fucking sellout when it was already a mess of a movie. Hey, want Megan Fox making out with another chick when the chick should be calling the police on her? Sure, that makes sense. (Sure argue it was character development and depth whatever you want, it was executed terribly) I mean, this movie came out when Meagan Fox was in her spotlight, it did well enough. I don’t care whoever likes what product, but one review that almost jokingly, "this is true power to women, this is feminism right here.” Fuck you, women don’t need to become more relevant in media by Meagan Fox eating dudes in gore scenes back to back with forced lesbian make out sessions, thank you. This movie made me want to puke, similar to the most gross puke scene ever, which is found in this movie. It had no idea what it was, it may have been a popcorn film for some, but I couldn’t find much liking to it, which is odd, because I remember this movie being decently good back then. But now it’s… a big ugh.
