We have entered episode two, and now we have Amidamaru and Yoh’s episode. In this, we learn Amidamaru’s back-story, and it’s pretty good. He and his friend were old pals, and he was the greatest samurai, and his friend was the greatest sword smith. So their emperor order Amidamaru to kill his friend, but he didn’t, instead they are both dead, and Amidamaru is remembered as the guy who killed fifty men. But after a little adventure the two friends find peace at last, and before Amidamaru ascends into the heavens, he sees he’s able to save Yoh, and does, and realizes their destiny together as Shaman and spirit. It’s a great episode as a whole, and a damn near elite. It was actually very funny at points, it had some good story, and I just love where it’s going already. I don’t like Amidamaru’s character design a whole lot, as it’s a little intimidating on screen, but I’ll get over it. Anyway, a great episode, and you know what I take it back, it’s even an elite, and it was really good for me. Amidamaru seems likeable, Morty and Yoh I already love, and I think I’ve only seen the next episode, so after that I’ll be going in blind. As far as this episode goes, it gave enough story and entertainment to easily stack a nine.
