Okay, this may be filler, but this is why I hate how people almost use filler as an insult, because this is a great episode. Naruto finishes what Sasuke started and defeats the bad guy, and I’m pretty sure he’s dead, not many people survive that. And after that racer guy (I’m really sorry I don’t remember you name dude!) makes it to the finish to get his big cheesy ending. Then the whole family issue or whatever it was is resolved, and after that there is the big farewell scene. Racer guy’s brother even showed up and they had a good moment. And then the sign of what’s to come… Sasuke’s fucking look at Naruto at how pissed he is he got the win over Sasuke. Fuck, it’s finally about to go down! How long did I have to get here? All I know is this is a great episode, and I loved it. But here’s the thing, I just wanted a little more character development with this whole arc. Filler is a good time to work on that, as you’re not getting slammed with story. Like Sakura, she didn’t beat the guy, and she’s fine with that. But she was there… so there’s that. Yeah, being there. Just there… doing nothing. I’m not saying she has to be a bad ass ultra fighter, but just be useful in ways besides kind of saving Sasuke, even though it looked like he was surviving anyway, and kind of jumping in the way of a needle that scraped your shoulder. Besides that, Sakura was just there. Anyway, still a great episode, I’m excited for more.
