Eminem what are you doing? Anyway I’ll just get on with it. Roman’s Revenge is basically the combo of the two alter egos of Nicki Minaj’s Roman, and Eminem’s Slim Shady. It’s actually not a bad idea if I liked Nicki Minaj, so for some this could have been a dream come true. But I went into the song open-minded, and I’m actually surprised it wasn’t a bad song. This is still the worst Eminem song on my site yet (there are still some bad ones, I’m not saying every song by Eminem is good, just the ones I’ve reviewed) And Nicki Minaj’s alter ego, or I guess alter egos I should say since I lost count of how many she has. They aren’t alter egos, they are her playing dress up. Slim Shady is a darker, sarcastic, and down right fuck you version of Eminem. Roman is a evil little boy inside of Nicki Minaj, so unless she’s saying she’s pregnant with devil spawn or has been a small evil child all this time, she’s playing dress up. Roman’s mom comes into the song at the end, and although I don’t have a problem with that part, it just shows her alter egos are just her playing dress up, and not actually making any good points, just bland rhymes. The song itself is mostly just those types of songs. Rhymes to be clever and not actually contribute to a story or theme, but to be good rhymes and good flows. But that being said Nicki Minaj isn’t that great at rapping. I’m not saying she’s downright terrible, I’m not even saying she’s bad, because that’s irrelevant. But you can’t make a song mostly just about good rhymes and bring what she did. Both Eminem and her are suppose to be in a "fuck with me I’ll fuck with you,” zone, and it’s not bad. Eminem actually makes some good rhymes, and has a much better flow. This was one of the first types of songs like this where the Slim Shady alter ego emerged while Eminem wasn’t on drugs, so it was kind of cool to see what he did. It actually wasn’t bad, and at one point I thought it would turn into a women beating moment, but it didn’t, so I’m happy about that. Eminem doesn’t do anything wrong, and as far as Nicki goes, a couple problems. One, her alter ego seems meaningless when she is only playing around. Two, her rhymes aren’t really up to how well they should be. Three, there are so many sound affects, and I hate the Eli Manning reference, it sounds annoying every time. And lastly, the hook is just terrible. It’s a dungeons and dragons reference… yeah. That doesn’t work in this song, and it’s not at all clever. It’s just a random reference, and although there’s nothing wrong with that, but it shouldn’t be the hook to you song. I mean I do see what it was meant to be. When your rhymes are hot, they could be on fire, and you spit like a dragon, spitting so hot your words are like a dragon shooting fire. But no, when your rhymes are average, it doesn't work, especially if you make it the hook to your song, which you shouldn't. There are some other parts, like Nicki references her Lil Kim rivalry, but I don’t really care about that. As far as my current favorite rapper being on a song with a person I don’t consider a good rapper, I won’t let it bother me. He references in the song you might ask why, and his response is why not. Also a bad meets evil lyric in the song fast lane makes this all make sense.

See? He only wanted to get laid. It explains all of this. And it would make sense why Nicki Minaj is pregnant with a demon child. Yes, I know you can’t get pregnant through anal sex, but don't be a smart ass, I'm making a joke. Anyway in the end I don’t think this song is downright terrible, it actually did know what it was, unlike the last song, and like Eminem said, why not. I don’t think this song will stick in my mind for long, but I think it’s all right. Don’t hate it, don’t really like it that much, although I do look at it positively because for some reason this might just be the best song on the album from the impression I have from it now.
