Ah, nothing like a good ol’ filler, right? Right?… Okay let’s see what we got. I actually have no memory of this episode, so this will be one of those first ever reaction episodes that we’ll get more often as I get farther in the storyline, even though well, this isn’t a storyline. In this episode before reaching the leaf village, Tsunade and the others go to a hot springs. And she wants to go to gamble, and Jiraiya wants to go because of the hot chicks that go to hot springs. And Jiraiya the whole episode is an on going gag in this hot springs, and it’s not even really that funny, but it’s not bad or annoying. But a group of people take Naruto’s new necklace. He gets it back, and finds out they were trying to get the money Tsunade owes them. Then when Tsunade goes missing Shizune has to get the money that Naruto takes from her. And while it was going on, I’m not going to lie I thought it was going pretty good. It was a nice break, and had not a terrible idea. It was going good, and there was a fun chase scene. But then Tsunade comes around and she’s like "oh, whole problem averted, I already paid that debt, you guys can go home to your family after all.” Like what? Seriously, that kind of ruined it. I’m not a filler hater, but I do hate how filler is almost an insult. Just taking a break isn’t that terrible, and the episode should be thought of as its own. And this could have been a nice filler. But… it’s so pointless. If you would have a situation where Tsunade could have given them the money, and we get to see as they come home, it would have been nice. And even the animation I noticed was a little more sloppy in this. I mean it’s not that filler is bad, it’s just a lot of time they’re not trying. Cartoons in America make excellent episodic episodes, and they can be great. But this, this is just a whatever episode. Don’t get me wrong, this way better than the last one, which I think I gave a four out of ten. But it’s just put together wrong, and a distraction that could have been good. I liked it, I mean it was interesting I guess. But definitely was not good by any means.
