Episode 14 Review (The Fortuneteller)

 Episode 14 Review (The Fortuneteller)

All right, this another of those off the path, and never makes a big mark, but still very enjoyable episode. And this is one of those romance shoes. Shows like this I don’t care really two shits about the romance, but I guess it is enough of a theme to talk about, but I still don’t like how much fans care about romance with characters who hardly ever show romance, but they still do in this episode. This whole episode has a theme of romance. That and fortunetelling. The Aang Gang runs into a guy who calmly escapes a bear attack, (oh, I’m sorry a Platypus-Bear) And he was calmly escaping it because he knew he’d be fine because a fortuneteller said he would. So the team goes there, gets some fortune, blah blah blah. Also there’s this little stalker girl who chases Aang, and that’s kind of cute. I mean… I just don’t care all that much. Fuck pushed in romance. Anyway, I do like that Katara gets her fortune, and a part of that reminds me of the Legend of Korra. And with book two coming out, I might know something about Katara, that or the fortuneteller is full of shit. Anyway, the team realizes a volcano that she says isn’t going to blows up is in fact going to blow up. But nobody cares, cause they have faith in the fortuneteller. But Aang and Katara using waterbending change the clouds to make it look like the volcano will irrupt, and that’s when people get off their asses and make it so they won’t get burned alive. But then again the fortuneteller was right after all. And for the romance parts, the cute little girl likes Aang and stalks him, Aang likes Katara and is trying to get their attention, Katara isn’t noticing shit. With television they don’t really develop romances, they just kind of tease you until the end, and I knew the whole time who would get with who, it’s hardly ever different. But overall this was a good episode, and a nice change of pace. I don’t think this is the show to have story, story, story, more fucking story. It’s definitely a show that is suppose to break the parts slower, and we did get more of the characters. Just probably one of the more less favorable episodes of the season, but these episodes of 7/10 mean more than like a Naruto episode 7/10. That Naruto episode is like a chunk of the pie,  with Avatar it’s own slice of pie. And although not great, still enjoyable.
