"I said you smell!” Anyway, episode twenty-six is a necessary breather after the onslaught of the past couple episodes. It starts with some conversations and more of Gohan and Piccolo, and more Nappa and Vegeta. After all the fighting and need of stalling for Goku this break feels more than necessary, and it actually helps Vegeta’s character while also making an excuse for them to wait. But of course not everyone takes a break, the name of the episode is called Nappa’s Rampage after all. First Nappa flies over the tech camp that had been trying to film the fight. He kills them, but says it was to easy. Then he sees the big ass navy lined up on the ocean and gets excited saying he didn’t know Earthlings had a military. He charges headfirst and literally flies through the ships and boats like they were made of butter. He then blows them all to hell, saying declaring he accidentally broke a sweat. O.K. Nappa is a bad ass, nobody does that without being a bad ass. At this point in DBZ he’s an unstoppable monster, and is happily suicide diving through navy ships. I will remind you those people weren’t brought back to life. But then just as Goku finally is off Snake Way for the final time, Nappa blows another city in a nuclear bomb sized explosion. Back then nobody killed mass amounts of people, and Nappa was pretty much the first guy to kill a feat so grand like it was nothing. But then finally Goku reaches the check in station, and in no time at all he snatches two Senzu Beans from Korin is off towards the big fight. Korin even as encouragement tells Goku to give them hell. Ah, such a awesome cat man Korin. And the episode ends as Goku lands on the Nimbus and goes towards the battle… is he still not faster than Nimbus? I don’t know how fast that thing goes, but come on he’s got to be pretty fast by now. Anyway this episode was a nice little break from the intensity and good for Goku reaching Earth, and really leaves you anxious for the next one.
