One thing I feel I haven’t ever given credit on is some weird effort I keep finding. Not effort into great songs, but effort in… just this weird effort. It’s like her music is going after catchy forced songs, and kind of a selling out mess that kind of tries to be real at times (forget that on the next album) but it’s like even when she sucks, she’s still trying to squeeze something out of it. Like Stupid Hoe is terrible, but it kind of sounds like she’s trying. And same goes for this one. Let’s start with the lyrics. I have no problem with them. I mean it’s annoying, and just some of the wording. Like we’re suppose to be giving her sympathy and she’s like, "Take a real long drive in my Mercedez.” I’m sorry, but don’t name your car, switch the lines a little, unless you just can’t, which again proves my point that she’s a pretty bad lyricist. I mean, she's kind of making a song with some kind of message that sounds like a reference to a relationship, and her just reflecting I guess. And aside from the very end, the lyrics aren’t good, and don’t really seem to fit cohesively, but I can’t really be bothered or annoyed by it. It’s harmless, and it’s more album filler, and I don’t care. But I will say her album filler songs have fairly decent beats, and I can’t knock that. Her singles like Did it on ‘em on the other hand… okay ALREADY REVIEWED IT. IT’S DONE. And you know those Nicki noises? Those little sound affects, this is kind of like what it’s like without em, and it’s not as annoying! She instead is going in and out of the song with little words, and she sounds good, and she’s kind in the background and kind of not, and it works! And yeah, I’m happy I wasn’t annoyed by a stupid little noise coming up again and again. And is this better than Save Me or I’m the Best? Well, it’s a lot less hateable. The hook sounds pretty nice, and the ending is pretty damn good. After you’ve had enough of an artist’s singles, and you want to check there album, there are types of songs you should have to back you up. And for Nicki, the rest of the songs I didn’t feel would help a Nicki Minaj song like here more, but I guess they do regardless. But no, I feel this one would help. I just feel like there are like four other songs on this album already like this, and anything she said, she already said it. Any soft techno beat (or annoyingly in your face one) is just kind of done. And it’s not techno, but it’s those techno like beats that I still say are techno maybe because her voice is really edited to sound autotune-esc. I don’t know. Definitly not helping the album, and definitely filler, but not something I could hate. It’s just above falling asleep level, and doesn’t really hold any relevance to make a good song. Just a big whatever.
