So we wrap up the fight between Neji and Evil Spiderman, and yeah it was good. Not as good as the Choji fight, but it’s damn good. It’s harder to get behind Neji, a character who was once a villain, even with the transition being as good as it was. Anyway, Neji even after getting shot through the stomach and all this other shit with the blindspot, he flips that on it’s head and uses that to knock that Spiderman wanna be out. Them he charges in like a bad ass, then starts wailing on him, and yeah it kills him, just not immediately. I don’t buy as much he’d die that easily, but in the end Neji was just trying to get his big hit in, and that was enough. And he has this really cool death (although I’m sure he’s going to live) scene with this feather, and good God the animation is beautiful. Just watching this little feather fall is amazing. And yeah, very big dramatic death that’s not actually a death. Unlike Choji I do think Neji shouldn’t have died here, his character would kind of not feel as fulfilling for me. Anyway, very good fight, very good death that isn’t actually a death. Very great just in general, hope the next one is as good.
