Episode 15 Review (Zero Visibility: The Sharingan Shatters)

Episode 15 Review (Zero Visibility: The Sharingan Shatters)

Okay, with the last episode being a little stale, maybe they were being slow so this episode could be as good as it cold be? Eh, let’s find out. The beginning of this episode pretty much covers all the events of the last one in about two minutes (told you they could do it) Then Kakashi decided the best way to get past Zabuza and fight Haku is to take down Zabuza. As Kakashi goes for his Sharingan he’s stopped by Zabuza, and he tells him it’s useless because even if he beats him, he’ll lose to Haku who is even stronger than Zabuza. I’m pretty sure this is true. Haku isn’t a killer, and holds back most of the time against Naruto and Sasuke, so when he does decide to kill shit gets real, but if he was a true killer, then he’d easily have killed Naruto and Sasuke, helped Zabuza finish Kakashi and Sakura, and kill the bridge builder, mission accomplished. That’s what I like about Zabuza and Haku, it’s not like DBZ where the later enemies make the old ones look pathetic, they’re still really powerful later in episodes. But anyway the fight continues, and Sasuke feels he found a small increase in his chances with the ice mirrors. He was able to shoot his fireball as Naruto used the Shadow Clones and was able to burn a little of Haku’s clothes. What a bad ass right? An in the meantime Zabuza seemingly overcame the Sharingan, and with his hidden mist jutsu lurks in the mist while he tells Kakashi how he knows basically all about his own move, secrets about it we hadn’t even known yet. But just as Sasuke makes a plan it backfires. As Naruto tries to escape he shoots a fireball at Haku, but Haku easily dodges it and is fed up enough to make a stab wound on Sasuke, piercing him through the shoulder. But before they could try again Haku finally starts making some attacks, shooting both Naruto and Sasuke with deadly needles. He’s wasted a lot of Chakra on the ice mirrors, but since he won’t make a killing attack he’s basically wasting Chakra and slowing down. But then out of nowhere Zabuza pops up behind the bridge builder, drives down his attack on where Kakashi shows up, and it cuts to commercial as you hear a really loud yell and the camera is not even looking down at them. If this was the last episode of Naruto we’d have to assume the team died, so there’s something to think about. In the end this episode for me is between a six and seven. Sure it’s entertaining, but they’ve had their time for character building and development, the time for shit to get real at a pace faster than this should be going on. Anyway still a good episode, just want a bit more.
