Episode 1 Review (Welcome to the Project)

WELCOME TO MY REVIEWS FOR THE NHK! Well, we have our new series. I heard a lot of good things about NHK before watching it, and then I eventually got around to it. And yeah, I loved watching it, and now that I have my second series done, and some more I’m slowly doing, I thought I’d have a new main series to work on. And why not go from the Nickelodeon show about a happy monk to the show about the guy who converses with his fridge! Anyway, odds know if you’re reading this, you know what the show is about, and if you don’t, just wait until I have the entire series reviewed, or find out for yourself. Anyway, Sato, a deranged awkward hikikomori (a person who is afraid to leave their home because they’re so afraid of the world). He basically is just lost in his thoughts in this episode, and we see basically what he does everyday. A lot of sleep, maybe a little internet, some perverted thoughts, and maybe talk to all of his house appliances. Luckily he may not be a creepy bastard his whole life, because a random cute girl comes to his door and will potentially fix him… yeah, you can see why people who live like Sato like this show. Anyway, he goes and tries to get a job to pay the electric bill (who apparently are like loan sharks or something to him) and he sees the girl again. He talks some random shit about motorcycle, and runs away. Luckily she leaves a note at the door to meet in the park, and he sees her and there, and the end. And to be honest, I like seeing the show again, it was nice to see everyone again. And yeah, I’ll get to why I love watching Sato fail at life, but for now, I’ll just stick to what he does in the episode. And that is fail at life, and it’s awesome. I’m an awkward person, in a way everyone is. People worry about their social environment, it’s psychology. But when you are failing at being awkward, you know you’re awkward, and you make stupid decisions because you panic. Then it gets worse, and you hate yourself a little bit. And that’s what he did, and he can’t even open the door. He made a bullshit excuse to himself to not even answer the door. And he was about to do the same about leaving his house, and to be honest, I did that once to avoid going to a middle school dance. So this is one of those things where you watch something so much worse than yourself, and you feel better about yourself. And hey, I’ve seen people who are hikikomori review this show on Youtube, and it’s like they’re favorite show, so maybe just relating is a big part. So unless you’re a… fucking normal human being, than you’ll probably like this show. But then again, who’s normal? WELCOME TO CONSPIRACIES!..

Welcome to the NHK Episode 1 (Welcome to the Project) gets a 4/5
