With season two so close to ending, I’m very happy to be as far as I have in this series review. I plan to come back after season two, but I’ll be branching out to more anime after this, and will be starting many series reviews. But we’re almost halfway there, (for part one at least) and we’re actually starting a new arc. I think season two should have ended on the last episode, and since this is hanging between a eight and a nine for me, I really think ending it on the last episode rather than starting a new arc would have helped, but since we’re not finished, I won’t say anything more until my review of season two. But it seems Itachi and his friend are so bad ass they can walk around in enemy territory and get a bite to eat. But Kakashi figures them out, and sends his friends to investigate. Itachi and his friend Kisame start the battle, and they seem to pretty much win in like a minute. But Kakashi makes the seen, and that’s the last we seen from them in this episode. Meanwhile Naruto had a good moment with Konohamaru, and then goes out for some ramen before continuing his training. But Jiraiya is approached by some old people who are usually shown when important leaf village stuff happens, and they say he’s been chosen for the fifth Hokage. Jiraiya declines, but offers Tsunade, the female Sanin. He says he’ll find Tsunade, but will bring a friend on the ride. For the last moment in the episode he walks into the ramen shop, and the two look like they’ll be having quite an adventure. Normally I would give this a six out of ten, but I remember watching this specifically as a kid, and my brain was on overload from the idea of Itachi, and Jiraiya being Hokage was a cool idea. I’ll give it a light seven out of ten. And then there are only two more! We’re close, we’re close!
