Naruto: Volume 24 Review

God damn Kishimoto needs to just calm down. These Manga are going so smoothly so quickly, and it is a really exciting ride. The old characters are yet still growing, and the new ones again are just as exciting. I’m pretty sure I know who’s dead and who’s not, and either way, it is emotionally gripping. The five enemies were handeled so wonderfully, and the pace went at such an excellent rate I can’t believe what is happening. Before I hadn’t known anything about the characters like Kimimaro and the Sound Ninja Four. Their character and motives tell you a lot about Orochimaru, and of themselves. But the good guys are just as up to bar in this, and this book leaves off at a huge cliff hanger. Normally for a product as a whole I feel cliff hangers make the product following it better, but this one is to great, and I’m actually glad it left off on a cliffhanger. Another thing I noticed was how well the action in this particular volume was handeled. Throughout the volume there is an unbelievable amount of action, and was actually jaw dropping at a few moments, and it moved very smoothly for the most part, and I have to say I really want to see the anime episodes featuring the sound ninja four, as it will very interesting to hear their voices and see them in color. I really didn’t think the series would be hitting so many high marks, but this is the second time I was just wowed, and I can’t leave off anything it doesn’t deserve. I am damn excited for the next volume, and am so curious to find out what happens to the series after that.

Spoilers: Okay, I have to say how much I loved it when Gaara and the other sand ninja showed up. I didn’t see their picture on the back of the manga yet, and I had no idea they were going to show up besides the hint that Gaara would show up in the last volume. Not to mention that but I was very surprised at the whole Kimimaro segment. I was wondering where Kimimaro’s character was going, and was very interested to know how he would fight. I learned, and learned he’s a creepy bastard. Maybe it was fit he be killed by another creepy bastard. Just saying Gaara probably just made my top five characters again, and I’m now tied with Kakashi and Shikamaru for first.
