Oh, turned out Kakashi used a substitution jutsu, didn’t see that one coming. And after that he just knows where everyone is. "Hey Sakura, behind you.” Ah, that’s why I love Kakashi. All his quotes are awesome. "I won’t be able to read Make Out Paradise Now.” But he just clowns around all three of them, and makes even Sasuke look like a complete loser. And then he basically says to them all they fail, and we know from Iruka that he’s never passed a student yet. I really shows you becoming a ninja isn’t that easy, and isn’t a kid game. Then we realize what the whole training was about, and that is teamwork. He purposely made two bells, and the idea was to overcome that and use teamwork for at least two ninja to pass. He basically tells them all what they did wrong: Sakura ignoring Naruto, Sasuke being arrogant and putting himself above the others, and Naruto doing everything on his own. He gives them one opportunity after a lunch break to try again, but says they can’t give anything to Naruto who’s pinned to the log. But Sasuke and Sakura share their food anyway, knowing Naruto needs the food for energy, and without energy the team will fail. And Kakashi appears out of nowhere, storm clouds and all, then after messing with them tells them they pass. Yep, they passed, as that was the real test. With some touching music that makes you smile alongside a good lesson they pass! This is another great episode, and almost made it to elite for me. Although no conflict has really happened yet the episode just makes you smile, makes the characters grow and learn, and you learn along side them. It puts you in the mind set, hey if I ever was a soldier I’d use the idea I learned in Naruto. That shows all militaries should watch Naruto right before a war for prep! Okay, not really. Anyway just a great episode and nothing has even happened yet. But we got more Kakashi… and that is simply an eight out of ten in itself.
