So coming off from the last episode, we learn that Rio and his gang actually saved Yoh, and drove him to the hospital. Rio leaves thinking his debt is repaid, and then we hear another reference to the Shaman King tournament. So to help explain Yoh goes into a flashback when he was younger, the days his grandfather beat him while crying out, "Knowledge is POWER!” But he tells all about the young and lazy Yoh of the Shaman King tournament, and how every five hundred years all Shaman face off, and the winner becomes king, and decides the fate of humanity. Young Yoh loved the idea of king, and decides to pursue the idea, put is taking it more seriously nowadays. Meanwhile Len (because I’m not calling him Lenny) we see is being pressured into bad by his father Draco Malfoy style. We don’t see his father, but he is pretty much lecturing his kid for not killing Yoh. Len vows to kill Yoh, and fights him outside the hospital. The two begin their fight, and the fight between a Shaman and his spirit friend and a Shaman with no control rages. Eventually Yoh achieves complete power of his spirit, and wins. Yoh is taken back to the hospital (I guess it was pretty close by) and then we see as the episode says it’ll be continued, my favorite character from memory of the game I played seems like she’ll be introduced in the next episode. This will be Anna, and I’ve been waiting for this since I played the game. She was my favorite character in the game, but I’m not sure if it’ll be the same in the anime, but we’ll see. As for this episode it’s great, and each character really evolves a little except Morty. Amidamaru and Yoh seem like they’ll take on a really interesting adventure together, and this tournament will be epic.
