Yes, we’re coming up on the season end! We’re close now, yes! So first we end our fight with tongue lady, who’s not actually the tongue lady. After Sasuke kicks all sorts of ass and basically win, his defeated enemy breaks away from the tree he or she or whatever it is was pinned to, then basically wins by some ninja cheat code that just immobilizes the others. We see the thing’s face is pealing, and under that is a pale face with one weird looking eye. He I guess I should say now that he has a man voice is Orochimaru. He extends his neck like some kind of freak and vampire bites Sasuke on the neck, leaving what I will not sugar coat is the curse mark that will now fuck up Sasuke’s life. That’s Orochimaru. Comes dressed like a teenage chick, kicks your ass, burns your scroll, ruins your life, and bids you farewell. After that there’s a moment with Sakura I really don’t like. She’s crying as Sasuke’s like having the most painful moment of his life. She really just stood there the entire fight, then called Sasuke a coward, then when he fought just cried. Again, she really needs a push to not seem like a useless character. But things get all epic as we see our proctor (still trying to learn her name) as she closes in on Orochimaru. We learn she’s his pupil, and attacks, and looks about ready to kill both her and Orochimaru, but then substitution jutsu stops her. (That move would really get annoying in real life) Orochimaru reveals to us that she had the same curse mark that Sasuke was just given. He talks about killing the Hokage and taking the village like it’ll be easy, which isn’t to hard to believe from that point of view. Some other stuff happens like the proctor meeting some ninja and telling them to meet with Hokage at the Chunin Exam Tower. Also we see the sound ninja about to strike squad seven, and from what it looks like they are working for Orochimaru. Also Neji’s team splits up, and our episode ends as daybreak comes. It’s actually another great episode, and I really like it. It was actually kind of epic at times. Orochimaru looks like the all time villain the show needed, and even though it was probably the first episode Naruto wasn’t even really apart of, it was still really good, and seems to have shaken the whole series. It’s another eight for me, and the series is finally starting to get to the point it hasn’t reached since the Land of Waves.
