Role Models Review

 Role Models Review
Starring: Seann William Scott, Paul Rudd, Christoper Mintz-Plasse
Director: David Wain
Year: 2008

I remember walking out the theater with my brother and dad after watching Role Models and thought it was my newest favorite movie. Now, back then, I didn’t really watch movies like I do today, and I loved comedies a little more than other movies, but hey, it still says something. Role Models follows two douche bags who go around schools saying kids should stay off drugs, and should instead have an energy drink they’re selling. One hates his job and his life, the other is the exact opposite. So the depressed one jumps into his truck while it’s being towed away, and you can guess there’s a small accident, and thus he is either going to jail, or community service, and so does his friend. So they choose community service, and it’s a simple community service program where adults hang around kids who need more friends, with parents who don’t have time for them, and etc. Their two kids are completely opposite. You have Mclovin playing a socially awkward boy who is possessed with Laire, one of those live action role-playing games in real life. Then you have a little black kid who will basically act like the ultimate asshole, but he’s ten, so you can’t hit him. And for the beginning, it starts really kind of slow at parts, but keeps going with those unnecessarily uses of fucks or assholes, which let’s be honest helped. But once you get to the montages with the kids, you get to see the epic battles of make believe land take place, and of course those extremely offensive and yet awesome one liners that are always going to be in the movies. And the characters are going to be funny and enjoyable. When else is a character when trying to get the girl he loves to come back to him going to quote Ghostbusters? And where else are you going to see that little black kid I saw on That’s So Raven hijacking cars and walking into a tent with a passed out naked chick? Anyway, when it all comes around is its climax. It’s a literal war, and its so funny and awesome. And I really think every character and their actor was as about as good as they could have been. Nobody held the movie back, and it certainly shows. In the end the movie I feel I can watch again and again, and its still funny after so many times. It’s one of those movies that are just safe to grab, and I love having it in my collection. And I really do like the characters for a comedy, but who is the best. Easy, it is Kuzzik of Xanthia. Once you see the movie, and know the epicness that is Kuzzik, then thou shall understand. Now, let’s all give a round of applause for the great nation that is Kiss-My-Anthia!

Role Models gets a 4/5
Spoilers: So after all that, after the king was defeated, the little girl just walked up and stabbed him? Really? That’s awesome! You know what that chick probably has for breakfast? Cocaine! You want to know what she probably had for lunch? Cocaine! What did she have for dinner? Was it cocaine? If this doesn’t make sense you shouldn’t be reading a spoiler section.
