Episode 68 Review (Zero Hour! The Destruction of Hidden Leaf Begins!)

Yes, the attack on the leaf village has begun. And it wastes no time getting things started. From the beginning it’s chaos. The Kazekage takes the third Hokage to the rooftop, and the Sound Four (Four sound ninjas that have a much bigger role later) They make a big barrier rectangle around the roof. Then we see that Gaara was a big part of the plan, but it’s not going along smoothly. He was trying to transform into something before the match, but because he got injured he is now out of chakra and needs to be treated to. Temari and Kankuro take him, and are ordered to take him somewhere to heal, and then transform. Sasuke told by the proctor goes after him, and is suppose to stop him as is his task. Kakashi and Guy enter a fight with some of the sound ninja hidden around the Chunin Exam, and it’s revealed to us that the Kazekage isn’t really the Kazekage, he is in fact Orochimaru in disguise. Our episode then ends as Sakura is told by Kakashi to wake up Shikamaru and Naruto. In the end the episode is total chaos, and I really liked it. The whole village has just begun chaos, and it just goes crazy. On one side you just have the hidden leaf, the other you have Orochimaru, some giant snakes attacking everything, dozens of sound and sand ninja, and of course, Gaara, who is a force to be reckoned with on his own rights. The episode as a whole is the beginning of the feel of epic epicness. And you can only imagine who it will result between Gaara and Sasuke, and the Third Hokage and Orochimaru.
