I’ve never said this before, but
Orochimaru is a nasty little fuck. A pale emo slug guy that lives under the
Earth. Not the kind of people you should have train you Sasuke. Anyway, this
whole episode is basically treacheries in this little hangout. And yeah, it’s
not that good. It made Jiraiya look like he can be easily beaten again, Naruto
can’t get past a trap door, and yeah, it wasn’t that interesting. It looks like
Sakura might be getting a push, so that’s a good thing. I literally read shit
talk about her in the comments of this episode, so maybe she’ll do something
useful. But yeah, it was a average episode, if not below average. I don’t want
to put that much effort into it to even decide between below average and
average. All I know is something might happen next episode, especially with two
actual non-filler coming up before the… oh God. Shivers. Anyway, in closing,
this mostly just moved forward for the sake of moving forward. It makes the
season feel bloated, and could have been shortened.
Episode 139 (Pure Terror! The House of Orochimaru) gets a 2/5
