Episode 55 Review (A Feeling of Yearning, a Flower Full of Hope)

Cause this episode title couldn’t have been shortened. Anyway, episode fifty-five is basically going from character to character and showing how their training is going. We see as Neji is working to his limit, Shino is training with his teammates, Shikamaru is training with Choji, the sand ninja trio are having some kind of conversation with their trainer, and even some of the main characters are doing their best. Naruto is still trying to execute a good summoning jutsu throughout the episode, and by the end he gets a tadpole with legs. Yep, some great progress there. And as Sakura and Ino arrive at the hospital to give Sasuke some get well soon flowers, they notice he’s not in bed. Then they go in Lee’s room to do the same, but he’s not in bed. A really great quality hospital they’re running, aren’t they? But then we see as Lee is actually outside awake, and this is the first we’ve seen of him since we discovered he won’t be able to be a ninja, but that just makes what we see all the more sad. Lee’s still even on one arm and leg is training. He’s trying to do like two-hundred one arm push ups, and as your watching your just like, "Dude, give up, it’s okay.” But no, Lee passes out at one-hundred ninety-nine. As he was going I was just like, "Do it! Do it!” It was like the music from Rocky could have been going, but no, he fell, and it was sad. Meanwhile we see Kakashi and his bad ass self as he’s climbing a mounting with one arm tied behind his back. (I’ve always wondered what he did in his spare time) Then we sees Sasuke’s silhouette standing above him, and it looks like he went to Kakashi for training. All in all it really feels like a common village as they casually talk to each other and are going out to eat, and it helped each of these characters just that little bit more. We see which characters are more hard working than the others, and it’s safe to say Lee won with his sad little scene. In the end it’s a really good episode and gets a high seven for me. It’s really good, and although not very suspenseful, a good time to just take a break from the story, and relax as you watch a bunch of children work their ass off.
