Wade Barrett returns with "Bad News Barrett”

A long time ago I tried doing my "WWE Watch and Talks.” It was where I could watch a wrestling show, and just talk about it, and give a score, although the rating didn’t mean much. But that was at a time it was really hard to watch wrestling. I was moving, I didn’t have cable, and I really didn’t feel like doing it. But for the past couple of months I’ve been following Raw back on track, and I’d thought I’d try this again, but just as a serious review, and not a "Watch and Talk.” Anyway, here goes. First off, the show started well. CM Punk was on a lot tonight, despite not having a match. But he took better time with his promos. When Stephanie and Kane came out, I didn’t know what they were doing. But they’re actually using corporate Kane, and since this is Kane’s first big character change since getting the mask back, I’m happy he’s not just being sidelined. CM Punk got censored for calling them douche bags, he called Kane the Big Red ass-kisser, it was good seeing Punk have the promos he’s needed for awhile. After it was the Ziggler and Sandow match. And these guys have good matches, I just don’t want a lot of filler matches with no purpose. But looks like Sandow is going for the IC belt. And as much as I like Ziggler and the idea of him fighting Big E. I want Sandow to get something after his Money in the Bank was taken. Then there was the divas match, and I have a problem with it. It seems they just seem to do a lot of tag matches so everyone gets in, but it gets really boring sometimes. I mean just look, there were five tag matches tonight! Five! Anyway, my main problem was Summer Rae, who was really annoying. I mean, when I say I don’t like a certain superstar, I don’t dislike them, I’m just annoyed with them lately and where they’re going. Summer Rae, I don’t like her, not in the annoying way. AJ, she really got into her skipping thing, and it works I guess. It was a little awkward, but at least she has personality. Despite losing, I wasn’t terrible, I remember months before Total Divas and AJ and thought, "Wow, the divas division is like nothing.” And for awhile now it seems to have gotten serious since the 3 hour Raw change. Then Barrett with the new segment… yeah, why? I don’t think Wade Barrett, who really came close to a world championship should be reduced to this segment. I just hope they don’t keep it going. After that was the Wyatt and Bryan match, and to be honest, that’s what’s making me watch raw. The Shield, the Wyatts, Bryan, Punk. Main things keeping me entertained. Bryan basically won the match, and that was nothing. But Bray Wyatt had another really sick promo. I remember when he was just Husky Harris, and boy will I never underestimate someone like that again. And basically the idea is Bryan might join the Wyatt Family, and that I think is a really interesting idea. Why? Because Brain has got this far without any gimmick, and hardly anything for his character. Mostly just really raw wrestling skill, the Yes! chant, and a large fan following. Getting something with his character for a heel turn could really let him test how well he can adapt to a character change. After that Corporate Kane (yeah, he’s being used!) and Brian had a little thing, looks like Bryan’s fighting all the Wyatts at TLC, so looks like he’ll just be dominated or something. Tons of Funk fought R-Truth and Xavier Woods. Xavier Woods doesn’t seem bad, and has a rivalry with Brodus Clay… it seems like a really dumb thing to be honest. Like, they can make good rivalries with their air time, so why don’t they? Anyway, after that Sin Cara fought Alberto Del Rio, and oh my god. They are going to crush Del Rio, and I’m completely fine with that. Seeing Sin Cara was so refreshing, I remember when he debuted I wanted him to go places. Alberto I didn’t. I like Alberto, great wrestler, terrible on the mic. Those type of people should stay at low spots. I like Alberto, I just think he might of literally killed the World Heavyweight Championship. And yeah, maybe other people agree because he lost to Sin Cara clean. After that Rhodes brothers and Big Show fought the Shield. Again, not much, just kind of getting an interesting match in. It was the mini-vent for the night. I like the Rhodes brother, I want them to keep the titles for awhile, even in this new tag team boost division. Then CM Punk had an interview, and it was funny. Way funnier than the shitty skit’s the writers have been doing. How does singing a stupid song lyric beat the guys paid to think of funny things, I don’t know. Then there was another Bad News Barrett, and… oh God, I’m already tired of it. Then Miz and Kofi had another thing. They’re half ass made rivalry is still going, I’m not sure what they’re doing with it. I want them to have a rivalry, I want them both to have the spotlight. But a random rivalry with no real purpose doesn’t do much. And after that Mark Henry fought Fandango, not much purpose there. They’re letting Henry look cool, and I’m fine with that, but give him a rivalry! Don’t just waste time, that’s not why you to a 3 hour raw. I’d thought they’d use the extra hour to make rivalries they didn’t have time for, not do random matches. Then the Real Americans fought the Prime Time Players, it was stupid, I’m sorry. Then they revealed the pull for the new Undisputed Title that Cena is probably going to have, and I didn’t like any of the choices. I mean, I can’t think of anything better, but all of them were kind of eh. I even forgot the name, it was that forgetful. But maybe I’ll get used to it. After that was the main event promo contract signing for the TLC match, and it was cool. They seemed to have actually practiced it. The writing was good, the fighting was all right. Pretty standard, but enjoyable. Overall, it was a good night. They wasted my time again for at least thirty minutes, but theyhad some good moments. Hopefully they’ll step they’re game up in the weeks leading up to TLC, where we’ll get possibly a Daniel Wyatt, and a single world champion.
