Rejoice! Kakashi is still alive and bad ass for the rest of our lives! We’ve obviously hit double digits on our reviews, and in this episode our heroes stumble across the awaking Kakashi in the Bridge Builder’s house. Then we see as the boy who was suppose to destroy Zabuza is working on the body, but it awakens and pulls out the needles in it’s neck. Turns out Zabuza was alive the whole time, and the boy named Haku wore a phony mask and had only put Zabuza in a paralyses. He works for Zabuza and they’re almost friends it seems like. It’s actually pretty chilling and your like "Damn it! He got away!” Kakashi in moments of his genius self puts things the pieces together and realizes Zabuza is alive. Then after Naruto says something confident, it gets snubbed by a little kid. (The Bridge Builder’s grandson) Naruto follows the kid about to give him a lesson, but can hear from outside his door he’s crying. Okay so this kid is introduced, and in about one minute I get the impression he’s a snotty kid, and then crying. Those are two things you generally don’t have a good character begin with. After that it skips to our group in a forest. We get another more detailed explanation on Chakra, then Kakashi tells them what they must do. In order to learn to properly balance Chakra, they must climb a tree, but with no hands. He demonstrates and walks up a tree defying gravity… on crutches. These are reasons why he’s a beast! He tells how moving Chakra to the bottom of the feet will teach them to balance and move Chakra like second nature, which could help against Zabuza. So the three run up the tree, and Sasuke’s Chakra is to much, while Naruto’s isn’t enough. And yet Sakura is a master already and makes it first try. I think since at this point it didn’t look like Sakura was good at much she needed a boost, and that was the way to do it, but she definitely needs some type of personal move like Naruto’s clone jutsu. But then Naruto and Sasuke look at each other, rivals eye to eye, and you do actually wonder who will make the top first. And meanwhile as Zabuza recovers Haku obviously gets a stamp of major character development as he almost breaks the wrist of his boss, and moves so fast he has two guys almost killed at an instant. Just a really great scene to me. And then our episode ends, and shows something pretty big. Sakura sees how terrible Naruto’s doing, and assumes he’ll give up and throw a fit. But no, Naruto showing her up went to her for advice. And then the episode ends as Kakashi reflects thinking that Naruto actually has more Chakra than he. Maybe not stronger or more balanced, but definitely more due to the fox. Anyway, good episode, can’t really hate it. It’s a lowerish seven and it’s good and all but seemed a little choppy at parts. I liked the tree climbing and knowing more about the universe also. Anyway ten down only like a million more to go!
