Episode 3 Review (...And the Bag’s In the River) Review

Episode 3 (…And the Bag’s In the River) Review

Nothing to start an episode like dumping guts down the toilet, right? Anyway, this episode is all about killing ol’ Crazy Eight. Or as we could call him, Domingo. Or as we could call him, Sunday. First Jesse and Walt get in a fight, and Jesse kind of gets away. So Walt is left with the guy he’s suppose to kill. And the majority of the episode is just Walt and this guy. There’s more, like there’s this weird thing where Walt’s sister in law (I’ll remember her name eventually) she thinks Walt Jr. is smoking pot, and she makes a big fucking deal about it, and then steals something. Then Hank takes him to methtopia (meaning a place where used condoms are lying on the ground, and there’s a guy with too many tattoos) and it’s almost a funny scene, but they kind are too serious, and it’s just awkward. I don’t know, these are those Breaking Bad parts that are just adding unnecessary bulk. I mean they should have been used, the characters aren’t really developing, it’s like they’re just trying to keep them relevant for the future. And who the fuck can talk shit about smoking bud when you’re about to steal shit? God, I hate her, but I love hating her. Seriously, Walt’s sister in law, maybe she’ll die in the finale, we can only hope, right? I joke… mostly. And meanwhile Jesse’s just… doing meth and having sex with a hooker’s whose teeth look disgusting as fuck. But the prime and meat of this episode of this episode are with Walt and this guy. You are watching something really special and as Walt just asks about Domingo we both get a sense of feeling for him. And as we see as he took a shard of the broken plate Walt broke, we know he still is a person in this world, and even though he was full of shit, is he completely full of shit? I don’t know. But watching that scene, that scene is hard to watch. That is raw feeling, and just straight up in the intense moment. And by intense, I don’t mean your into the scene, I mean intense. And isn’t these two episode names awesome? And the bag’s in the river, that’s clever if you get it. Anyway, overall great episode, I thought it did a really good job. And our hero has officially killed someone.
