So today the legendarily bad Xbox One that has been exploding over the internet by how bad it is changed something. Before this, I heard comments shitting on it in videos that had nothing to do with this thing, which is also where I got today’s title from. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not on a team, I still kind of hate the idea of fan boys of a console. But Miscro$oft today announced that their Xbox One will no longer have to have a fee to play used games, and will no longer be able to play online. Let’s start with the good. FUCK YES! GAMING AS A MEDIUM ISN’T BEING POISONED! Now for the bad. First, I just kind of hate how Microsoft has been calling these "features,” and not restrictions, and how they’re playing dumb when Sony is actually parodying them. And did they learn their lesson. No, they just saw pre-order sales, and know enough that they’re… going to basically fail. Another thing, I hate how the fans were suddenly praising these new "features,” and are now saying how glorious the Xbox One is. That’s an official dick rider. Now, the console war is now not a massacre, congrats. And if I had the money, I’d still buy a PS3 ‘cause it’s cheaper, and the Xbox One is now probably even weaker now that it's being mixed up. Now, am I happy? Yes, now I can buy an Xbox One eventually, and will be able to play Xbox One exclusives. I said before how the games I did like, I wasn’t being ignorant and spitting on those games, they were pretty sick. But what is Microsoft going to do in the long run? They still could add these "features,” down the line, it’s all digital isn’t it? In the end, I’m happy for the consumer side being raised. That being said, people already have their PS4 on their Christmas list, and that ugly ass Xbox One and its ugly ass name, and ugly ass idea resolved around it still exists. But I will give credit where credit is due, Microsoft isn’t a total ignorant idiot of a company, but I still just see this rich white dude in a suit while swimming in cash and drinking a bottle of wine at how awesome his new console is. Then a bunch of scared ass little men are too scared to tell him to fuck off. Then somebody was just like "Yeah, you know we’re already getting fucked, right?” And then the rich dude in money is saying "Preposterous!” And I guess the pre-order sales was dropped on his head. And I’m not forgiving Microsoft, hell, I never really cursed them out, I just knew where my money wasn’t ever going. But I do want to thank those people. The people giving this thing the ass whooping it deserved. Even if they were being a total idiot about it, it sure as hell worked. And me just saying I wouldn’t buy it ever clearly wasn’t enough. You guys did do it. Anyway, I guess Gamestop is pretty god damn happy, they’re the ones winning now. That and us, because now there are two new potentially good consoles eventually, and that’s a good thing. And I know I’ve shitted on the console wars before, but it shows competition really makes products better, hell it makes the art of video games better. And I’m happy Microsoft is getting a boost up, that means Sony won’t become lazy shits down the line, and the more even it is, the more likely these games are going to be better. And if it means we aren’t going to be screwed, I’m all for the good news.
