So the second rounds of the Shaman tournament are upon us, and the gang is told to meet at a village in a couple days. On top of that they have school… damn I keep forgetting they actually go to school. Anyway, there are some goodbyes, and they try to make the relationship with Anna and Yoh a little more deep, but that kind of poorly executed. I don’t know about the original Japanese version, but in the dub I’m watching they clearly use the word friend. FRIEND. You’re engaged, and you’re FRIENDS. And Anna is one of those characters that lashes out to feel emotion, much like a protective parent who cares too much for their child, but in Anna’s case she wants to make people as perfect as she can, which is kind of a bitchy thing to do, but oh well. In the end I could hardly care less, they’re like twelve year olds, and they’re engaged, how could I take that seriously? Anyway, this episode also introduces (properly) Zeke. Zeke for some reason looks like Yoh, but an evil and dark version of Yoh because we’ve never ever ever ever ever seen this before. Anyway, Zeke has a pretty good talk with Silva, and he kind of makes Silva a bitch. Silva’s like, "You know playing with fire and you’ll end up burned.” Then Zeke’s like, "But that doesn’t apply to those who are fire.” Then the conversation ends with him telling him to take Zeke’s advice, and not play with fire. I already like this guy. Then he pops up in front of Yoh, and he’s just fucking all smiles. "Hey, I’m your main antagonist. You’re a pathetic weakling and have a nice day.” He might of well have said that. He kind of man handles Yoh’s friends, then leaves kind of randomly. Is he Yoh’s brother, just happen to look like him, his ancestor, some clone, a robot Yoh from the future, odds are it’s one of them, but he seems pretty cool anyway. In the end this was a pretty good episode, and earns a seven, but nothing really spectacular. Just kind of eh, but a good eh.
